چکیده

We consider a new formulation of a class of synchronization error channels and derive analytical bounds and numerical estimates for the capacity of these channels. For the binary channel with only deletions, we obtain an expression for the symmetric information rate in terms of subsequence weights which reduces to a tight lower bound for small deletion probabilities. We are also able to exactly characterize the Markov1 rate for the binary channel with only replications. For a channel that introduces deletions as well as replications of input symbols, we design two sequences of approximating channels with favourable properties. In particular, we parameterize the state space associated with these approximating channels and show that the information rates approach that of the deletionreplication channel as the state space grows. For the case of the channel where deletions and replications occur with the same probabilities, a stronger result in the convergence of mutual information rates is shown. The numerous advantages this new formulation presents are explored.

Attitude Synchronization Control in Satellite Formation Flying in the Presence of States Measurement Errors

This paper presents a novel attitude synchronization framework for tracking control of multiple identical/heterogeneous satellites in formation flying with connected communication graph. The main contribution of the paper is considering sensors' measurement error to derive control gains. Moreover, the proposed strategy need no angular velocity communication. Nevertheless, the tracking synchroni...

Combination of Beamforming and Synchronization Methods for Epileptic Source Localization, using Simulated EEG Signals

Localization of sources in patients with focal seizure has recently attracted many attentions. In the severe cases of focal seizure, there is a possibility of doing neurosurgery operation to remove the defected tissue. The prosperity of this heavy operation completely depends on the accuracy of source localization. To increase this accuracy, this paper presents a new weighted beamforming method...

Global Finite Time Synchronization of Two Nonlinear Chaotic Gyros Using High Order Sliding Mode Control

In this paper, under the existence of system uncertainties, external disturbances, and input nonlinearity, global finite time synchronization between two identical attractors which belong to a class of second-order chaotic nonlinear gyros are achieved by considering a method of continuous smooth second-order sliding mode control (HOAMSC). It is proved that the proposed controller is robust to m...

Polarization of Multi-Relay Channels: A Suitable Method for DF and CF Relaying with Orthogonal Receiver

Polar codes, that have been recently introduced by Arikan, are one of the first codes that achieved the capacity for vast numerous channels and they also have low complexity in symmetric memoryless channels. Polar codes are constructed based on a phenomenon called channel polarization. This paper discusses relay channel polarization in order to achieve the capacity and show that if inputs of tw...
